The project aims to promote children’s right to be heard in the school setting. We recruited 25 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in the first year to pilot school-based activities selected from our menu to empower children in the exploration and decision making process in their school life. Activities included how to hear children’s voice in school policies, upgrading play facilities, organizing a fundraising event with children, and many more. A ceremony was held on 5 November 2022 for the participating schools to share their experiences and to formally launch our school-based Child Participation Guidebook with the education sector. The project was sponsored by a funding scheme under Commission on Children in 2022, and is sponsored by Save the Children Hong Kong in 2023.
