Children speak for Children
Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights fully supports “Children speak for Children 2023” that is organized by Hong Kong’s first child-led organization – Kids’ Dream. The project aims to foster young child rights advocates aged from 12 to 17, and raise public awareness on child rights issues and the perspectives of children on these issues. The project set sail in the summer of 2023. Participants learnt about child rights in a series of activities and understand the needs of different stakeholders through community visits. Afterwards, participants were divided into groups to discuss their concerned issues and present their findings in their chosen manner. The project can foster children’s logical thinking, creativity, and teamwork skills in the process, and provide them with an excellent way to understand our society.
